At Bradford Cathedral on Friday 25 November where there will be an evening of what is described as ‘radical jazz’.
Kicking-off at 1930 hours, there will be Gilad Atzmon and the OHE with Omar Puente, Sarah Gillespie and Nizar Al Issa.
Now I don’t want to frighten the horses too much, but it is vital for ‘jazz in Bradford’ that this gig is well attended – it is worth attending simply for the music, let alone the intervening entertainment which Gilad Atzmon provides, be it general banter, his observations regarding his mis-representation in the press or the trials of a jazz life. Add adopted local lad, Omar Puente, Sarah Gillespie and NIzar Al Issa into the mix and there is infinite potential for a very special evening of jazz indeed made all the more so by the unique surroundings of Bradford Cathedral, so do please attend if at all possible and help to keep jazz coming to Bradford.
