Suspension of Activity

Good Jazzers

sincere apologies for the lack of activity herein these past 3 months.

I should not moan as there are many out there who'd love to be busy, but owing to a change of role recently, the pressures of the 'paid job' are such that there will be no further updates to this blog until they abate. This may transpire in January 2013 however the success of the venture thus far indicates that even this might be 'hopeful'.

I will continue, as time allows, to continue with the podcasts and playlists at http://jazzscene.podomatic.com where you can listen again to the 8 or 9 most recent airings.

Again, sincere apologies and sincere thanks for your interest over the past 18 months and I hope you will continue to tune in and / or listen again as your location allows

Best Wishes

Martin

JATPJazz next gig is . . . . .

01 June 2012 - Rod Mason's ELEMENTS

.. require little introduction -  because they are so damned GOOD and they are driving this point home further and farther afield. Their gig at Marsden Socialist Club (MJF 2010) was so rammed, their fire certificate sublimated - folk were stood on the pool table! Described elsewhere as “Weather Report on acid” expect jazz-funk fusion with liberal be-bop bombardments from Saxes B52, Ein Großer Fröhlicher Rod Mason - reeds, perc, Richard Weatherall - keys, Richard Hammond - bass and Dave Walsh - drums

BCB JazzScene - Playlist Blog

. . . . .  where you'll find all the facts, figures and contact routes, where available, behind all the jazz tracks played on BCB JazzScene, entitled above by date of broadcast.
Ongoing work-in-progress, but essentially the playlists will be divided across the available pages according to the page limit and the number of shows. Given also that there are limits on podomatic (for we 'careful' Yorkshire Folk), I may decide that when a show drops off podomatic, it'll drop off here. Shouldn't imagine these lists will have any historical significance after 12 months anyway so we'll see how we go.
Any ideas, suggestions or corrections, stick 'em up 'ere folks - all welcome
In the meatime, many thanks for your interest
